Originally from Ohio, Megan Lehnert has been in Chicago for four years and has loved getting to know the great city and its friendly Midwestern people.
Megan has been a school social worker for seven years and has worked with a wide range of school districts, families, and students across varying demographic areas and with different sets of needs. Megan is also a huge Ohio State fan (Go Bucks!) and loves spending her free time exploring all the great culture (mostly food…) Chicago has to offer.
Megan learned about Compass to Care and its mission shortly after moving to Chicago and is thrilled to now be a part of the Associate Board. The work of connecting families with resources to support their children is at the core of why she became a social worker and being able to do this work on a personal level with like-minded people is an energizing prospect. Megan hopes to bring more awareness to the great work being done by Compass to Care and to pull in her network to support the organization.
