WHAT A GREAT MORNING!! Compass to Care hosted its very fist 5K to support kids with cancer on Saturday, October 22nd and it was a great morning! The weather ended up being absolutely perfect for a run through the beautiful Park Ridge neighborhoods.
With a total of 140 registered runners, we raised over $13,000 to help our kids travel to cancer treatment!
We could not have had such a successful morning without the runners who came out to run, the volunteer who came to volunteer, the neighbors who were accommodating to our runners as they passed by, the spectators who cheered, and the Park Ridge Police Department who kept everyone safe.
We would also like to give special recognition to our sponsors, who provided the support we needed to create this race:
And last, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Anna Polyak our race coordinator, who said “let’s host a 5K” and then invested her time and energy to make it all happen. This would not have happened without her!
